My friend Sylvina just returned from her trip to China and brought back the most thoughtful gifts. This one’s so pretty I had to share it. I love the inkwell. The ink itself is dense and mud-like. That along with the hand carved name on the stick gives this set a primitive feel. Thanks Sylvs!
I’ve been listening to the VLA for eight years now. I’m somewhat obligated seeing as I’m married to it but nevertheless, it was love at first sight and still is. Last night they rocked it. Spaceland didn’t f* up the sound either so that made me super happy. Ravi and I went to see Death Cab for Cutie the other day at the Hollywood Bowl. Since they’re sort of in the same vein I couldn’t help but compare them and, well, these guys are better. Jason’s voice is hotter and their songs are better. Fo sho. Listen here. (took the pics with a Nikon D40. great in low-light)
and I LOVE it. I thought our invites were complicated! Haven’t spoken to Bridget yet but I’m mind-boggled on how they executed 100+ of these. So gorgeous. One I’ll be holding on to. They were designed by Brian Mead. How cute is the hand-carved stamp for the envelopes?
It’s getting closer to Bridget and Kevin’s wedding so I checked their blog/website to see what they’re up to. I know they’re totally swamped with moving out here but they still managed to post a few new things. Can’t wait for the invite! Will post some pics when it arrives.
